Master Plans:

The Oswegoland Park District worked with Hitchcock Design Group to create Master Plans for select parks and trails within the District. It is important for Park Districts to have these plans prepared to take advantage of funding opportunities when they become available such as grants or donations. The following parks were found to have enhancement opportunities that would benefit residents throughout the District. Click on the following parks to view their Master Plans: Bluegrass Park East, Farmington Lakes Park, Fox River Trail, Hudson Crossing Park, and Violet Patch Park.

The Oswegoland Park District is planning to take advantage of the largest community park in the District and offer residents a number of additional activities. A four-acre dog park is proposed to be constructed to the west of the existing parking lot. The design shows the dog park being separated into a large dog area and small dog area. Proposed site amenities in both areas include benches and a shelter for shade. The large dog area is anticipated to have a dog agility course and walking path through the native prairie by the wetland. The Park District is planning to replace the existing neighborhood baseball field with an accessible Buddy Baseball field to expand the use to include a non-competitive recreational baseball league for children with special needs. Near the existing basketball and tennis courts, the Park District is proposing to expand active recreational opportunities with a challenge fitness course, 40-yard dash racing system, and retrofit the existing roller hockey rink to offer ice hockey in the winter months.
